"When persuasion regarding a particular issue is the goal, reason is a very important tool. Reason or logic carries a discussion from premises through well-reasoned arguments to a conclusion. However, often there is a no clear-cut solution to a real life problem, and logic alone cannot persuade."

what is our interpretation of this statement?

As I read that quote I thought it was pretty clear what the writer was trying to get across to the reader. When you are trying to persuade someone you must use reason otherwise it is next to impossible to get them to believe you. If you have a well- reasoned argument you will come to a conclusion just as it says. But in real world issues there isn't a true answer to solve them and I find that very true. You can look at so many different things that people struggle with in the real world and find that everyone has different views on why those things are the way they are, and how to fix them. This is simply because no two people are the same. Logic cannot persuade because logic has no roof, everyone has a different opinion of what logic really is.
